Hyundai HX220AL Excavator Moving Dirt!!! It's Well Stripping Season And Some Other Discussions
Bet i will be buying one
Try to keep all of your tools squeaky clean.
That's got to be one of the most helpless feelings when you start going down in muck ground. Used to tell the help when you start spinning or going down, don't wallow, just raise the implement and get help.
Maybe you guys should stick to the excavator work, farming doesn't seem to be a talent you all poses
We were farming way before we were excavating and have been very profitable at it
I believe this area will make a very interesting video come harvest time !
Lisle Tool builds the best.
Looks like you have a real weed problem. There
Not anymore lol I sprayed them last week
Great job
Put in a small lift station, add 4 inch tile laid in a gravel bed .
Well I got a few tricks up my sleeve before we resort to that but it is a good idea just getting power to it might be pretty expensive unless we did something engine driven
@@dirtgrainsteel sump pump and a small generator.
I see no point trying to plant through that crap. Corn wont grow in that. Good luck tho
Well it grew so....
Do you believe in spraying your weeds or do you just like producing them over everything else??
I believe in spraying a hot enough recipe that they are smoked in 2 days
Isn't that the same field you guys had trouble with last year
What was date you got done planting corn?
June 5th
May as well keep trying since you already have everything on site to pull it out again. lol Im in Iowa on solid ground, so its interesting to see the challenges the muck gives you guys. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for watching! Lol yes it is interesting to see different soil conditions on RUclips and see how they are handled the wild thing about muck is it's never the same and really dry muck is just as bad as really wet muck it's just weird soil and anhydrous breaks it down over time
Congrats on being done with corn. You are definitely right tractor and planter are going to need a good bath 😂. It will definitely be interesting to see you spraying that field, I definitely hope you don’t get stuck. Take care guys and have a great weekend 👍
Nice to see it that wet here in the piedmont of North Carolina we are burnt up the Corn is nearly a total loss .we 10.inches in May none in June and none it June a lot of heat
That’s a sure way to muck up the planter. Too wet to plant. Seeds will just rot.
It grew
Well done for maximising the ground planted. How long is the corn in the ground, from planting to harvest ? The big articulated tractor has some serious power/torque - very impressive. I can imagine it has an impressive price tag as well 😊 - Thank you for posting these videos - I find them really interesting and your commentary and insights are excellent. Best wishes from Dorset, 🇬🇧 and have a great Independence Day next Thursday. Take care and be safe.. 👍🏻🙂
Just curious, what % of corn planted is for human consumption? This is the production where I am * Income by farming commodity in North Carolina Broilers (chickens) - $4,289,303,000 (32.3% of total sales) Hogs - $2,919,398,000 (22%) Turkeys - $958,107,000 (7.2%) Soybeans - $762,461,000 (5.7%) Corn - $732,911,000 (5.5%) Miscellaneous crops - $719,190,000 (5.4%) Tomatoes, Strawberries, Peaches, Cucumbers, Peas, various beans etc Chicken eggs - $512,783,000 (3.9%) Tobacco - $441,172,000 (3.3%) Sweet potatoes - $391,950,000 (3%) Cotton lint, upland - $261,390,000 (2%)*
Make sure you knock the mud off your boots before going in the house lol thanks for another great video!! I hope to meet you in person sometime.
Corn isn't for humans. Its for animal feed, Ethanol, Corn syrup (indirectly human food I guess) etc.
Are you still getting a tobacco subsidy?
Awesome job getting the corn planted!!
Thank you! You know us we can't back down from a fight lol
Don’t the weeds compete with the corn on growing
Yeah until you spray them
next video pulling out the sprayer
Actually the Wilmar drove right through it our little sprayer has impressed me it sinks but just keeps on crawling through if I would have had a big sprayer I would have probably been stuck 10 times by now
That 4640 the exact size and model tractor (a late 70-something model year) I learned to operate on back when I was a kid in the early 80's. We were in rice in Cajun Country. It pulled a rayne grain R-381 rice cart or a 16 foot disc. I assume yours also has a 8 speed jerkomatic. It wound up going to complete shit spending an unreasonable amount of time not having the ability to be stored inside when not being used.
This one is a 81 if I remember correctly and luckily it's a quad range them early power shifts were rough!!! They definitely got it right in the 50 series....thank you for the story and watching!!
what chem will you use to clean up that area those weeds are pretty big . I take that they're mares tail
Enjoyed the video
Thank you!
Ol 86 to the rescue... Damn fine ride those tractors.
They truly are nice tractors!
That ground is worse than where we used to cut wheat in Oklahoma
There's Muck in Oklahoma?
@@dirtgrainsteel yeah. Some years it was terrible and Some weren't too bad
Does the corn and beans grow better in the muck
You go dad can't let these kids have all fun.
"Embrace the suck!" 🤣 Very appropriate philosophy/attitude for farming muck.👍
I need to have that put on a shirt lol
@@dirtgrainsteel "If you're gonna farm muck, embrace the suck"😁
I assume that is drained northern.everglads!
Gotta snag DP's dozer and plow when he ain't looking. Lol
Brandon has his own plow
I got the plow I just need his tile cart lol sad part is I had all that stuff before when we tiled except we had a bucket wheel trencher a guy came along and wanted to buy it and gave us 2 times more than we had paid for it after we had put in a huge amount of tile in with it we couldn't pass the offer up on it
@@dirtgrainsteel snag his cart, I'm sure Aaron won't mind.lol
peat moss good for worm bedding
At least it's all over now with Corn... Whats next?
My new shop and home project!
wow that muck can swallow you before you know what hit you! good thing you have that big tractor to pull things out! you must be busy pulling all the muck stuck tractors and such! great job! it is neat you have your grandfather’s tractor! so mice to keep a piece of family history!
What a pain in the row!
It's growing though crazy thing is Dad put anhydrous on it last Monday with no trouble then I sprayed it Thursday with no trouble
Thanks for sharing
👍👍👍👍😊
CaRu PC 2000 excels in construction sites.
Is this near my homerown of LaPorte?
I'm actually in laporte right now....this video was made in Toto
when your not using your mats bury them in wet mud or in a creek
We got some Muck here in Hartville, Oh we call it the Swamp.
Good job. Muck is tough, once you spin a tire you're done. Back in the early 70s i got a WD 45 stuck. By the time we got it out we would step down a foot to get on the platform of the tractor.
You getting smarter by the minute
